The approved reform indicates that people’s right to rest is recognized as a right in various international instruments, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

Senator for MC, Amalia García, mentioned that this October 1st will be the day when the first woman in history will assume the presidency; however, she emphasized that the fact that there is a woman does not guarantee “gender awareness.”
“What does this fact mean especially for women? We have said it, as one of our ideologues, Marta Lamas, says, ‘a woman’s body does not guarantee gender awareness’:
