Senate approves access for former managers to old contracts and agreements

The Senate approved today (26) a project that gives former governors and former mayors access to contracts and agreements signed during their term of office. The project, which is heading for presidential sanction, gives these former managers the right to access any information on Plataforma+Brasil. This platform replaced the Transfer Agreements and Contracts Management System (Siconv).Senate approves access for former managers to old contracts and agreements

The idea of the project is to offer tools to facilitate the solution of common problems concerning the rendering of accounts of agreements whose execution lasts for more than one executive term.

The draftsman of the text in the Senate, Alexandre Silveira (PSD-MG), rejected some changes proposed by the Chamber, such as the expansion of the list of public agents with the possibility of accessing information on contracts and agreements. The rapporteur argued that there is already a specific provision in this regard in other laws and kept the wording restricted to former mayors and former governors.
