The National Health Insurance (Senasa) opened a service office in Miami, United States, for the more than 200,000 Dominicans residing in that city.
A communication indicates that the installation is within the Dominican consulate in the State of Florida.
The document adds that the office, fourth in the United States, joins those of New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia, in which offer membership servicesformation of family nuclei, delivery of cards and information.
During the opening ceremony of the new facility, Santiago Hazimdirector of Senasa, stressed that from now on “the citizens who reside in the different cities in the United States have the support of their Government, which “once again shows that it works for and for the people.”
Jacob Fernandezconsul in Miami, pointed out that with this new office, Dominicans have guaranteed access to high-quality health when they return to or visit their homeland.

Inaugurates Senasa office in San Juan de la Maguana
The president of the Republic, Louis Abinaderheaded this past Sunday the inauguration of the office of the National Health Service (Senasa) in the municipality of San Juan de la Maguana, in the province of San Juan.
The director of Senasa, Santiago Hazim, said that currently “San Juan de la Maguana has more than 154,529 people affiliated with Senasa, of which more than 42,000 belong to the Contributory Regime and 110,511 to the subsidized one.”
He said that they are helping families that have older adults through the Nutrition Program for the Elderly, with which they have reached 3,464 people aged 65 and older since the program began in 72 days.
“Similarly, we are developing the Nutrisalud program Senasafor children from 5 to 15 years old and adults from 35 to 64 years old, where we have impacted some 4,200 people,” said the official.
