A merchant ship carrying a container with 1,901 packages of illicit substances was detained at a port terminal in the province of Colón, by the National Aeronaval Service (SENAN).
According to the authorities, the alleged drug, which was seized, was hidden in a container from Turbo, Colombia that was in transit through Panama and whose final destination was Koper, Slovenia.
This action was coordinated with the Panama Naval Air Operations Center (CROAN) and the Colon and Guna Yala Drug Prosecutor’s Office, who carried out the search and search of containers, finding the alleged illicit substance.
SENAN revealed that so far in 2022, the National Aeronaval Service, through the execution of 85 operations, has achieved the total seizure of 63,754 packages of illicit substances.
