Senamhi recorded rains in more than 20 sectors of the department of Santa Cruz

From the National Fire Monitoring Center, the National Meteorological and Hydrological Service (Senamhi) released this Saturday a new report on the atmospheric conditions in the midst of forest fires.

The official report states that Rains were recorded in more than 20 sectors from the regions of the Integrated North, Chiquitania, Valles and Chaco, of the department of Santa Cruz.

Kathya Caballero, a meteorologist at Senamhi, confirmed that Since the early hours of this Saturday, a “cold front” entered with precipitation”.

“This income of Cold front will remain stationary (all weekend) with winds from the south and starting on Tuesday (it will change) with a probability of rising temperatures,” he said.

He also announced that The air quality index went from “very bad” to “regular”which means that it improved with the presence of precipitation.

Meanwhile, President Luis Arce and his team of collaborators continue in eastern Bolivia, directing the efforts to fight the fires and also the delivery of humanitarian aid to affected families.

“We reaffirm our firm commitment to all our families who have been affected by the fires and we tell them that, as a national government, we will never abandon them and we will come as many times as necessary,” said Arce.
