Senai offers BRL 7 million to technology 4.0 projects for industry

Companies of any size and sector can submit 4.0 technology projects to accelerate productivity in Brazilian industries. The regulation is available at Industry Innovation Platform?? The new call is part of the Brasil Mais program and is carried out through a partnership with the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), the Ministry of Economy and the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI).

The initiative aims to bring innovative solutions that bring results in improving processes and increasing productivity for startups and micro, small and medium-sized companies. The Smart Factory category will distribute BRL 28 million in four calls worth BRL 7 million. The third and fourth calls should be released in 2023.

Each selected proposal can receive up to BRL 800,000, encompassing both the development and implementation of technology in client companies. Companies will have 12 months to develop and validate the chosen projects.

Support

The execution of the projects has the support of the Senai Institutes of Innovation and Technology, which will evaluate the impact of the solutions developed on the production of micro, small and medium-sized companies. Among the criteria considered are productivity gains, operational efficiency, traceability, sustainability, increased innovation and competitiveness.

In the first call, which started in September, 15 proposals were approved from a total of 26 projects submitted. Of this total, 18 were presented by startups, micro and small companies, four by medium-sized companies and four by large corporations. Topics addressed were information technology, automation, civil construction, electronics, metalworking, biosafety and the environment.

Participants

Projects must be submitted by an alliance comprising:

1. Partner Company (EP): company providing technology enabling industry 4.0 with National Classification of Economic Activities (Cnae) industrial primary, secondary or contributor to Senai, of any size or technology-based startup.

2. Coordinator: Senai Institute of Innovation or Senai Institute of Technology qualified. The accreditation of Senai Institutes must meet prerequisites established by Senai National Department that will be announced by email??

3. Pilot Clients: micro, small and medium-sized companies, with primary, secondary industrial Cnae or Senai contributor, in which the solutions object of the research, development and innovation projects in their production lines will be validated.
