SENADIS provides subsidies and provides training for its Fami Empresas program

The Director of Equal Opportunities of the National Secretariat for Disability (SENADIS), Jorge Villalba, detailed on Radio Panama the delivery of benefits for people with disabilities and training in entrepreneurship issues by providing seed capital to seek their social and economic inclusion.
The project for the socioeconomic inclusion of people with disabilities and their families is known as “Fami-Empresas”.
Regarding the delivery of the check of the program of economic subsidies to people with disabilities in their social networks, the Senadis informed that it granted a total of B/.3,900.00 to people who met the requirements to acquire said benefit, in total 26 people with disabilities. They obtained this benefit, which consists of a quarterly financial allowance, which will help cover their priority expenses in the areas of health and education.
On how interested people can learn more about these benefits, Villalba stated that: “This benefit is provided to people with disabilities and low-income people, that is why this benefit is, they can approach the National Secretariat for Disability in all its regional offices and the headquarters in the capital, with a note requesting this benefit, the social worker will take the document and do a social survey to include it in the program.”
