The international risk firm Fitch Ratings rated Seguros Reservas with one of the highest categories, becoming the first Dominican insurance company to obtain the AA+ rating.
This rating is based on an increase in synergy in commercial, strategic and operational support issues. Upon disclosing the information, the rating firm indicated that the Seguros Reservas premium portfolio has been diversified against the competition. He added that at the end of 2021 the insurance company shows a position in the vehicle branch, obtaining an increase of 22% compared to the previous year.
The management of Seguros Reservas has been implementing important changes in the organizational structure, which has allowed it to focus more on certain personal businesses such as health, Fitch Ratings commented.
Victor Rojas, executive vice president of the insurance company, highlighted that the synergy that we have achieved together with the Reservas Family has allowed us to strengthen operations and strategies to increase visibility, promoting projects of economic and social interest that add value to all Dominicans.” Seguros Reservas, as reported, shows the lowest combined ratio in the industry at 89.9%, as well as a loss ratio of 46.7%, driven by underwriting. Similarly, it grew in efficiently paid claims.
