Combons of the GNB 35 zone command of the Apure state seized 104 kilograms of marijuana, as reported on Sunday, August 31, Colonel Ramón Cabeza, Secretary of Citizen Security of the Apure State, through his social networks.
The finding occurred in an abandoned box in the rural area of the “Los Danticos” sector, in Troncal 2 of the Codazzi parish, Pedro Camejo municipality. The drug was distributed in 198 wrappers contained in three packages.
The procedure was carried out after intelligence, patrol and scrutiny work, held during Saturday 30 and early Sunday, August 31.
The finding has promoted the authorities to intensify investigations to identify and capture those responsible for this illicit narcotic traffic. It is presumed that criminal gangs try to evade security operations that have been reinforced in the region.
The case was already notified to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to begin the pertinent inquiries and legally proceed against those involved.
