See wicked gangs control hospitals

CMD y Gobierno se reúnen esta noche

The president of the Dominican Medical College (cmd), Rufino Senén Caba, described as perverse that “politickers” who manage gangs control hospitals after the internal conflict at the Robert Reíd Cabral Children’s Hospital, where its administrator was transferred.

He said that a similar situation is occurring in Francisco Moscoso Puello, its budget is being handled as a personal coffer of the administrator who responds to political interests and who places gang members on payroll.

“This is a style that past governments inaugurated and that this management has perversely assumed to the detriment of hospital budgets and patients who require free quality services,” he assured.

He criticized that politicians “remove and replace” directors, doctors and any other personnel of public medical centers “manage the resources assigned by the State to hospitals as personal loot,” he warned.

“This can continue like this and we make the complaint so that President Luis Abinader intervenes to correct this type of anomaly that harms the health system.”

He urged the director of the National Health Service, Mario Lama, to put a stop to local politicians so that they do not interfere in health matters.

Yesterday, the director of the National Health Service (SNS), Mario Lama, transferred hospital administrator Robert Reid Cabral to another unspecified place.
