The United States ambassador to Mexico, Ronald Johnson Retiro Colonel, stressed yesterday that security cooperation between the two countries is offering results in the fight against organized crime and drug and weapons trafficking.
In an X message, he pointed out that, under the leadership of President Donald Trump and President Claudia Sheinbaum, common objectives have been set such as dismantling cartels, curbing fentanyl traffic, interrupting their financial networks and implementing the Firewall mission operation, aimed at stopping the flow of weapons towards Mexico.
At night, Johnson reported that he received Mexican and foreign diplomats in his residence, and stressed that the nearby dialogue strengthens shared safety goals.
