The Ministry of the Interior and Police and the Mayor’s Office of Santo Domingo Este reviewed the work of the Security, Citizenship and Gender Roundtable and agreed to strengthen its activities to make it an example of its functioning.
Antonio Palma Larancuent said that this is the right time to increase actions for the benefit of the entire community and that he is available 24 hours a day to collaborate in strengthening the sectors, as well as to carry out the tasks that come from that organization. He emphasized the safety of the citizens and highlighted that joint work is a priority for all the institutions involved in a task from multiple areas.
Meanwhile, Mayor Dío Astacio said that the committee will be managed with the focus for which it was created and that the municipality has become the safest city in Greater Santo Domingo and the fourth in the country. He indicated that it is a challenge to work in favor of security, in a broad concept that includes healthy coexistence and social welfare works such as paving and lighting, along with the solution to flooding, actions that result in prosperity.
