Sectors of Miranda and Caracas were left without power after heavy rains this #14Ago

Users reported on the social network Twitter that they were left without electricity in various sectors of Miranda and the Capital District, after the heavy rains recorded on the afternoon of August 14, caused by the movement of tropical wave number 27 through Venezuelan territory.

In the Mirandina entity, the light failures are recorded in El Encantado and Alto Hatillo, whose neighbors have been in the dark since 2:13 pm, when it began to rain. In this last zone they were 14 hours without electricity on Saturday, August 13. The La Agricultura and El Esfuerzo neighborhoods in Petare, located in the Mirandino municipality of Sucre, were also affected.

Meanwhile, in the Libertador municipality of Caracas, in the Capital District, the inhabitants of Caricuao, southwest of the capital. They denounced the power outage that affected blocks 13, 14, 15 and 16 of UD7 and the Ruiz Pineda urbanization.

This Saturday, August 13, after a fluctuation, several areas of Miranda and Falcón were left without electricity and there was also a temporary blackout in Mérida, Zulia, Trujillo, Barinas, Vargas, Aragua, Anzoátegui and Carabobo. In the capital of Caracas, the failures were recorded in Las Acacias, Colinas de Bello Monte, La Pastora, Caricuao, Lídice and Plaza Venezuela.

The country has already entered the rainy season and in this second week of August the rains have already wreaked havoc, leaving more than 700 families affected nationwide, according to official reports from the Minister of Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace, Remigio Ceballos.
