Tania Reneaum, Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) ruled out a face-to-face meeting with Carolina Ribera, daughter of former president Jeanine Áñez.
“He answers me @TaniaReneaum who has a full schedule. They met only with the Arce government and not with victims of their abuses, judicial persecution and improper process against dozens of political prisoners. They violate their rights and their relatives are not served in our just claim, “the young woman posted.
However, there is a commitment to a virtual meeting, which could be consolidated “shortly”, according to the ex-president’s relative, who rejected “the injustice of the illegal and rigged trial” that began on March 28 against his mother“political prisoner and former Constitutional President of Bolivia.”
The representative of the IACHR fulfills an official agenda in the country, with the installation of the monitoring table for the 36 recommendations issued by the International Group of Independent Experts (GIEI), which verified the violation of human rights during the events recorded in 2019.
