Second resignation: Minister of Culture announces his retirement from office

In less than half an hour the second resignation took place in the recently appointed Ministerial Cabinet of Dina Boluarte. This is the head of Culture, Jair Pérez Brañez.

In a letter addressed to the president, he explained the reason for his withdrawal: “The unfortunate events that have taken place in the country, which result in the irreparable loss of brothers and sisters, make my stay in your government unsustainable.”

Pérez presented his resignation letter minutes after Patricia Correa stepped aside from the Ministry of Education.
