The Provincial Directorate of Culture of Havana and MAMBO Artistic Productions announced the second edition of the Havana Mambo Festivalwhich will take place from August 9 to 14, 2022 in Havana.
The event will include concerts, downloads and shows, but will also bring together specialists, researchers, artists and art students in the first edition of the International Convention “Music, dance and popular traditions”, which will take place at the Meliá Habana hotel.
To distinguish the status of Havana Creative City of Music, declared by UNESCO in 2019, the festival has chosen the Salón Rosado de la Tropical as the central stage for its activities. Relevant artists and groups of traditional and contemporary Cuban music will be presented there, as well as outstanding dancers, dance groups, and folkloric groups.
The first call for the festival was made from July 15 to 18, 2021, directed by the arranger, composer and singer Arnaldo Rodríguez and endorsed by the Cuban Institute of Music.
