The second day of the strike in Colón began peacefully on Tuesday, but minutes later it ended in clashes between protesters and National Police crowd control units.
The police prevented the closure of the road in the Cuatro Altos sector.
Some demonstrators resisted and others fled in the presence of the police, who managed to reopen the road.
The active forces and popular groups demand that the National Government reactivate works and improvements-welfare for the province.
The community of Río Alejandro in the corregimiento of Puerto Pilón woke up closed by the residents and the transport sector. For which a bus has been located in the two sections of the road.
While in the case of the city of Colón, the PRD deputy, Jairo Salazar, along with a group of colonenses went on a walk to the Cuatro Altos area, carrying the national flag and wearing white shirts.

So far, no regional authority has issued statements about this general strike on the Atlantic Coast.
Michael Chen, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Colón, again urged the Government to go to the province, to meet with the active forces to find a solution to the strike, which only affects the economy of the Atlantic coast.
