Sebrae launches National Debt Renegotiation Campaign

The Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Enterprises (Sebrae) launched today (3) a campaign to support small businesses that have loans in arrears. Those who are guaranteed by the Sebrae Guarantee Fund (Fampe) can also join. The proposal is to offer better conditions for micro and small businesses to renegotiate debts and return to normal payment flows.Sebrae launches National Debt Renegotiation Campaign

The campaign includes a series of lectures online at the Sebrae’s Youtube channel, from the 6th to the 10th of June. Throughout the month, Sebrae will offer financial guidance to companies that want to readjust their cash flow to the new loan conditions. According to Sebrae, the estimate is to benefit around 14 thousand companies, including individual micro-entrepreneurs (MEI), micro-enterprises and small businesses.

The National Debt Renegotiation Campaign has the support of partner institutions such as Banco do Brasil, Caixa, Serasa, Development Bank of Minas Gerais, Development Bank of the Far South, State Agency for Development of Rio de Janeiro, Agency for the Development of State of São Paulo, Development Agency of the State of Goiás, Direct Credit Society – ACCrédito and Banco Original.

According to Sebrae’s Capitalization and Financial Services manager, Caetano Minchilo, the campaign comes at a time when the delinquency rate of companies in the Sebrae base with Fampe has not yet grown vis-à-vis the market and, therefore, the idea is to keep the numbers at these levels.

“What we want is to maintain compliance, to be able to give these small businesses that have a large portion of their billing committed to installments of credit an opportunity to allocate these debts so that this impact on their monthly billing is smaller,” he said.
