Farewell to the victims
On September 6, in the municipality of Saint Augustinefamily, friends and the local community gathered to say goodbye to the victims.
During the ceremony, one of the little survivors, who lost her mother, grandmother and sister in the accident, took the microphone visibly injured, with her arm immobilized and her leg in a cast.
With touching courage, the girl expressed her feelings and thanked God for having given her her mother, fondly remembering the moments she had spent with her family.
“They will rest in peace up there in heaven. They will be little angels and we will always remember them here in our hearts and minds,” the girl told those present, according to the newspaper El Nuevo Dia.
His words resonated with those in attendance, who after the mass joined in a procession to carry the bodies of the victims to their final resting place.
