Participants explained that it was a decision made independently by the staff and promoted among the different areas, which is why some notices were placed in the bathrooms of the facilities.
The organisation was carried out by the employees themselves, they explained.
In a video on Justicia TV, a video was uploaded of the moment when employees leave the building’s offices through the main door.
After leaving the premises, one of the employees used a megaphone to clarify that they were still working but were joining the peaceful protests to defend the judiciary.
On social media, family members and friends posted videos of the employees protesting.
The protest took place on the same day that the ambassadors of the United States and Canada expressed their rejection of the reform of the Judicial Branch.
Both representatives expressed concern about the weakening of the legal framework in one of the three member countries of the USMCA.
