SCJ President calls for protection of the Judiciary

The president of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), Luis Henry Molina, said today that the justice system must be protected as a fundamental pillar of democracy and peaceful coexistence, while calling on lawyers to become its guardians.

By swearing in a group of 910 legal professionals before the Plenary Session of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), the president of the Judicial Power Council She argued that in a world where justice is challenged even by fashion, where post-truth and populism, which call for the erosion of democratic institutions, the work of lawyers takes on even greater importance, since society places its trust in them to enforce rights.

“It is up to you, new lawyers, to improve and perfect our judicial system. Be agents of transformation, promote diligent and responsible justice, and work tirelessly for a more just and equitable country,” said Molina.

He urged the judges to follow the legacy of Judge Blas Fernández and urged them to practice their profession with integrity, transparency and dedication.

He also explained that practicing law is a path that requires constant dedication, constant updating and, above all, an unwavering vocation for service.

“In their role as new guardians of justice, I urge them to follow the example of Judge Fernández. Always fight for equity and truth,” said the president of the SCJ.
