Although we are in the month of January, there are already many colleges and schools who have shared the school calendar for the 2025 school year.
If you have reviewed this calendar, you will have noticed that a particular region of Chile begins the classes of 2025 much earlier than the others.
Which region of Chile starts classes earlier?
The Ministry of Education confirmed that the classes They will begin earlier in the Aysén region, in southern Chile. After the start of the school year agreed for Thursday, February 27, the official entry of students from NT1 to 4th grade will be next Monday, March 3
The rest of the national territory will return to classes on Wednesday the 5th of the same month, after the entry of teachers agreed for Monday of the same week.
In the case of the Aysen regionthe winter break would take place between Monday, July 7 and Friday, July 25, creating a three-week break.
In the regions of Arica and Parinacota and Tarapacá, located in the northern part of the country, the break will begin on Monday, July 7 and will end on Friday, July 18, with the return on July 21.
As for the Magallanes region, the southernmost region of Chile, the winter holidays will extend from Monday, June 30 to Friday, July 18, with activities resuming on Monday, July 21.
When will the school calendar end?
The Ministry of Education assured that the closing of the year 2025 is scheduled for December 5, for students in schools with a full school day; and December 19 for those who attend establishments with a partial school day.
