School bus rolled more than 200 meters down an abyss on the Santander roads: 6 children died and 15 were injured

The school bus traveled from the Laguna de Ortices Educational Institution and took the children back to their homes.

A fatal accident was recorded during the afternoon of this Tuesday on the roads of the department of Santander, after a school bus rolled down an abyss of more than 200 meters.

The emergency was recorded more precisely in the sector known as the Alto de San Pedro, in front of the Laguna de Ortices.

The school transport bus took the children from school to their homes, after finishing classes.

So far it is known that there are six minors who lost their lives and more than 15 wounded, who were transferred to the San José Hospital, in the municipality.

For now, the cause of the road accident has not been determined, however, hypotheses indicate that it is due to a mechanical failure.

The community and relief agencies of San Andrés and Molagavita went to the sector to carry out the rescue.
