The Sergio Arboleda University opened a new call to apply for the “National Talent” scholarships, an initiative that seeks artistic excellence in young Colombians of all ages, or foreigners legally residing in Colombia.

The scholarship is aimed at young people with outstanding skills in instrumental performance or performing arts, dance, singing and acting who wish to pursue professional studies in these fields.
The scholarships that will be awarded by the Sergio Arboleda School of Arts and Music will prioritize those young people with outstanding interpretive skills in the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, guitar, piano, saxophone, llanera harp, vallenato accordion, tiple and lyrical song, among others.
The benefit It will cover 75% of the tuition fee throughout the course, as long as the student maintains an outstanding grade point average. “With this initiative, Sergio wants to celebrate the cultural diversity of our country and support people committed to the continuous growth and transformation of their communities,” said Julián Montaña Rodríguez, dean of the University’s School of Arts and Music.
Those interested in applying may do so until November 20 and then carry out the admission process at the University that includes the interview, the sending of a letter of intent and the presentation of a disciplinary test. between November 21 and December 7.

The process lasts less than a month so that the chosen young people can start their first academic semester at the beginning of 2023. The students who deserve these scholarships will be under the permanent instruction of a group of teachers specialized in Colombian music, classical music, Jazz and musical theater, according to your training interest.
