Scholarships for firefighters: BCP agreement will allow covering part of professional studies

The firefighters of Peru will benefit from a series of scholarships for university education that will be delivered through an agreement signed between the Patronato Nacional Pro and the BCP.

The scholarships consist of an investment of S/280,000 from BCP for the three years of the agreement. Arturo Woodman, president of the National Pro Firefighters Board, explained what the aid will consist of: “Firefighters will be able to see their professional studies financed, and those of their children up to 50%, and with the funds from private companies we will be able to provide support additional 25% or 30%. In other words, students would no longer have to finance more than 20% of what a professional career costs”.
