The firefighters of Peru will benefit from a series of scholarships for university education that will be delivered through an agreement signed between the Patronato Nacional Pro Firefighters and the BCP.
The scholarships consist of an investment of S/280,000 from BCP for the three years of the agreement. Arturo Woodman, president of the National Pro Firefighters Board, explained what the aid will consist of: “Firefighters will be able to see their professional studies financed, and those of their children up to 50%, and with the funds from private companies we will be able to provide support additional 25% or 30%. In other words, students would no longer have to finance more than 20% of what a professional career costs”.
Luis Romero, Chairman of the Board of Credicorp and BCP, commented that they seek to contribute to quality education.
”At BCP we joined the National Pro-Firefighters Board to contribute to the development of the members of the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters by financing quality education for both them and their families. With this support, we seek to recognize the effort and courage of the firefighters who every day carry out hard work for the common good of society,” he asserted.
