Scandal on the Paseo del Prado: Young drunks simulate sexual acts and block a bus

Cuba, La Habana, jóvenes, Paseo del Prado

The bus, coming from the beach, remained stopped for more than 20 minutes while the group lay down on the road and disrupted traffic.

MADRID, Spain.- A group of young people “took part” this Sunday in an incident that paralyzed traffic in the Prado Walk, in Havana, by blocking the passage of a bus on route A40 and preventing it from continuing its journey. The event was witnessed and documented by a reporter from CubaNet who was in the area.

The young people came inside the bus itself and, after getting off at the Prado, they stood in front of the vehicle and forced the driver to stop. The bus remained stopped for more than 20 minutes while those involved remained in the middle of the road.

In the images captured, several young people can be seen surrounding the front of the bus and preventing its progress, as well as others carrying out uncontrolled maneuvers on the sidewalk. The group also went so far as to lie on the pavement and make movements and gestures simulating sexual scenes in front of the statue of José Martí located on the promenade.

A police officer approached the scene, but his presence did not make the young people immediately leave the road.

Photos taken at the scene show the accumulation of vehicles stopped in the area, including cars and motorcycles, while passers-by observed the scene from the sidewalk.

Finally, the young people removed themselves from the middle of the street, allowing the bus to resume its route. During the wait, passengers inside the vehicle expressed their discomfort and began to complain about the delay and the disorder generated.

The incident, which occurred in one of the busiest arteries of the capital, caused discomfort among those traveling through the area and highlighted once again the degradation of the basic rules of coexistence in Cuba.
