A new scandal in a Midis social program. The Punto Final program revealed that a supplier of the National School Feeding Program, Qali Warma, had paid bribes to officials to cover up the poor quality of food products that were delivered to a school in Cabana, one of the poorest districts in the country, in Juliaca, Puno.

The company denounced is called Frigoinca, and the product it distributed at the aforementioned school was Don Simón, a canned chicken, meat or pork.
The event occurred seven months ago when a group of 20 students from a state school were taken to a hospital in Juliaca, as a result of poisoning: they had ingested products distributed by said company, as part of the Qali Warma program.
An official from the Health sector told parents at the time that the poisoning was due to the water the schoolchildren drank. However, Punto Final obtained WhatsApp chats between representatives of the company and the regional government of Puno that revealed that they had agreed, through the payment of bribes, so that the analyzes came out in favor of the company.
