On the occasion of the holidays and end-of-year celebrations, a time in which travel and vehicular traffic increase throughout the country, the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) He urged citizens to verify if public transportation companies have insurance or programs against traffic accidents to deal with this incident.
For this reason, he indicated that people have at their disposal, completely free of charge, the SOAT/CAT and Vehicle Insurance Report, a fundamental tool for those who plan to travel safely or are considering purchasing or selling a used vehicle.
Through a statement, the regulator detailed that this service allows quick and reliable access to detailed information on vehicle policies, SOAT certificates (Mandatory Traffic Accident Insurance) and CAT certificates (Certificate against Traffic Accidents). All you have to do is enter the license plate data, whether it is a private transport vehicle, public transport vehicle or motorcycles.
The report will allow you to verify, for example, whether an insured vehicle has registered accidents, becoming an indispensable resource for making informed decisions and traveling with peace of mind during these dates of high mobility.
