SBS intervenes a new cooperative in Cajamarca and orders broad package of measures

The Banking Superintendence, Insurance and AFP (SBS) declared the Dissolution of the Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited Aproredi, based in San Ignacio (Cajamarca), after verifying its inactivity, in application of the provisions of Law No. 30822 (Coopac Law) and its regulations.

The decision is based on the fact that the entity closed its main premises, located on Mariano Melgar Avenue No. 407, for more than fifteen continuous calendar days – July 3 to 20, 2025 – without informing the SBS, which configures the cause of inactivity provided for in current regulations. AproCredi, registered in the Coopac Registry since 2019 with No. 0029-2019, was authorized to perform level 1 operations.

Main implications of the resolution

1. Dissolution and exclusion of the Coopac Registry: AproCredi ceases to appear in the National Registry of Savings and Credit Cooperatives not authorized to capture public resources.

2. Legal continuity until liquidation: The cooperative maintains legal existence until the liquidation or bankruptcy process is completed and its extinction in public records is registered.

3. Immediate restrictions:

  • Judicial or administrative processes cannot be initiated to collect debts.
  • Judicial resolutions against them cannot be executed.
  • There cannot be taxes on their assets.
  • You cannot make payments, advances or compensation with your funds or goods.
  • Precautionary measures can not be imposed on their heritage.

4. Effects on credits: From the beginning of the liquidation process, debts will only generate legal interest.

5. Temporary administration: Alayn Valer Ttito (main) and Raúl Rolando Soto Salas (alternate), who will represent the SBS and will be empowered for:

  • Take possession and administer all the goods and documents of the cooperative.
  • Prepare financial statements, inventory and asset recovery.
  • Prepare the relationship of creditors in detail of amounts and preferences.
  • Maintain liquid resources in financial entities with “A” or “B” qualification.
  • Recover credits granted and manage reinsurance or co -eguros.
  • Formalize and raise guarantees prior to debt cancellation.
  • Deliver goods and documentation to the judicial liquidator when appropriate.
  • Attending pending administrative and labor aspects.
  • Exercise judicial, arbitration and conciliatory actions to defend the interests of the cooperative in dissolution.
  • Open and close accounts, make deposits, retreats and bank operations necessary.

6. Registration in public records: The resolution and designation of administrators will be automatically registered at the request of the SBS.

With this measure, the SBS seeks to ensure an orderly settlement process, protecting the interests of creditors and associates in accordance with the applicable legislation.
