The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) declared the dissolution of the MF Savings and Credit Cooperative because it is immersed in the cause of total loss of social capital and the cooperative reserve.
The decision was communicated through SBS Resolution No. 04072-2024, published this Tuesday in the official newspaper El Peruano. This measure excluded the MF institution from the National Registry of Savings and Credit Cooperatives Not Authorized to Raise Resources from the Public.
Likewise, the rule establishes that the prohibitions imposed during the intervention regime on the MF Savings and Credit Cooperative must continue, which are to initiate judicial or administrative proceedings against it for the collection of debts under its responsibility; pursue the execution of judicial resolutions issued against them; constitute liens on some of its assets as security for the obligations that concern it; make payments, advances or compensation, or assume obligations on its behalf, with funds or assets that belong to it and are in the possession of third parties; and constitute a precautionary measure against their assets.
The SBS appointed Rocío La Rosa León and Hubert Luque Peralta as temporary, main and alternate administrators of MF. Along these lines, the resolution empowers the temporary administrators to carry out acts necessary to carry out the orderly dissolution.
