SBS alert that has detected 8 new entities that receive money from the public without being authorized

The Banking Superintendence, Insurance and AFP (SBS) He warned that he has been receiving public consultations in their different attention channels on companies that promote money collection activities without the proper authorization. He indicated that, of these consultations, he has detected eight entities that claim to be specialists managing investments in various areas, offering to invest money in various businesses with the promise of paying high interests such as profit.

The SBS said that even these companies lie to people by making them sign an alleged legalized contract notarially with the delivery of a value title, to make them believe that customer money would be exempt from risk.

“However, as has happened in other cases alerted by the SBS, there is the risk that the interests offered are not paid and, in addition, that the capital delivered by the public is not restored, harming those who entrusted their savings.”said the SBS in a statement.

The law provides that every person who intends to capture or receive money from third parties, in the form of a deposit, mutual or any other modality, and place said funds in the form of credits or investment, requires the prior authorization of the SBS.

Eye that one thing is to be authorized to capture money from the public and another is to be registered in the SBS for money laundering and terrorist financing issues.
