The spokesperson for the block of deputies of the Fuerza del Pueblo party assured Tuesday that the study of the 2022 budget project, deposited by the Executive Power in Congress, is stalled.
Deputy Rubén Maldonado said that this stagnation is the product of the government’s indecision after the preparations for a tax reform were aborted. The also member of the bicameral commission designated for the study and weighting of the piece, hinted that it is the Executive itself who has paralyzed the bill on public spending, as he said as a result of the improvisation that in his opinion characterizes the government. “Certainly, knowledge of the budget is stagnant, only one meeting has been held … let’s hope that the president of the commission will convene it. They should not be waiting where the resources are going to come from because it is assumed that this budget has to contain all that scaffolding, “said the legislator.
