The withdrawals from savings in January exceeded deposits at R $ 26,226 billion, today (7) the Central Bank (BC) said today. The data are contained in the savings report released by the monetary authority and show that last month, Brazilians applied R $ 326.883 billion and pulled R $ 353.109 billion.
In January last year, the result was also negative, at $ 20,148 billion, but closed the year 2024 with a positive result of $ 15.44 billion.
Regarding income in January 2025, the index was R $ 5.950 billion and balance of R $ 1.011 trillion.
According to the BC, the funds applied from the real estate credit book registered deposits of R $ 281.980 billion and withdrawals of R $ 302.284 billion, while the amounts invested in rural credit totaled R $ 44.902 billion and the withdrawals were R $ 50.824 billion .
Regarding net fundraising, the report shows that, in January, the values of the Brazilian Savings and Loan System (SBPE) were negative at R $ 20.304 billion, while the funds applied in rural credit were negative net funding of R $ 5.921 billion .
Last month SBPE Savings yielded R $ 4.318 billion and rural savings was R $ 1.631 billion.
