The secretary general of the Single National Union of Workers in the Construction and Related Industries (Suntracs), Saúl Méndez, referred this Wednesday to the single dialogue table where they agreed on eight priority points to start negotiating with the Government.
He stressed that among the agreed points are the high cost of fuel, food, medicine, electricity. In addition, the specific issue of 6% of GDP in education will be analyzed. Corruption and lack of transparency will also be addressed.
“We hope that between today or tomorrow the government can sit down with us to talk, in addition, we have repudiated the repression unleashed in Santiago. There must be concrete responses and without repression; we are demanding to stop that repression, release the detainees, and that hold the wounded responsible in order to talk with the peoples and the alliances that are gathered here,” the leader specified.
He stated that the protest actions and closures have been maintained until the Government and the single table reach agreements.
At 10:00 am this Wednesday, the single dialogue table resumes in Penonomé, Coclé province.
