Saudi Arabia will send aid to Cuba to contribute to the recovery of the damage caused by the Hurricane Melissaas announced by the Cuban Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, during his official visit to that Gulf country.

ANDThe crown prince had expressed to Marrero his willingness to send “important aid” to support recovery efforts on the island.
“He offered us all his solidarity, all his support, and told us that he was going to meet with part of his cabinet to agree on significant aid to our country,” declared Marrero.
Marrero sent a message of encouragement to the Cuban people, who “lived through very difficult hours after the passage of Hurricane Melissa,” and stated that “once again we are going to recover.”
He also detailed that he had spoken with the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, who expressed his intention to send ships with rice, electrical transformers and other supplies as part of humanitarian assistance to Cuba.
