Two subjects were allegedly drinking liquor on the banks of the Satipo River in the Bellavista sector when one of them tried to cross the river, was dragged by the current and drowned.
The victim’s companion stated that his friend entered the river after drinking, apparently due to disappointment in love.
The body of the deceased was seen by the residents of the Malecón sector when it was being carried away by the current and they notified the security department and the firefighters who finally recovered the body and took it to the Satipo morgue. The victim was identified as Daniel Danny Felipe Egoavil, 43 years old.
