He Tax Administration Service (SAT) of Lima announced that collections at the end of September reached a historic amount of S/1017.4 million, which represents an increase of S/120.5 million (13.4%) compared to the same period of the previous year, when S/896.9 million were collected.
According to the institution, the increase in collection strengthens the municipality’s finances and allows greater investments in projects that benefit the entire community. Among them, the execution of public works, the maintenance of green areas and concrete actions to improve safety on the streets of Metropolitan Lima.
The head of the SAT, Lic. María del Pilar Caballero, highlighted that this achievement is due, in part, to the implementation of new service and notification channels. These secure and easy-to-use platforms, together with information campaigns, have made it easier for taxpayers to comply with their tax obligations more efficiently.
The SAT thanked taxpayers who have already fulfilled their obligations and urged more citizens to do so through the various available channels. These include bank platforms such as BCP, BBVA, Banbif, Scotiabank, Interbank (only in agents and internet banking), Western Union, Caja Metropolitana and digital wallets such as Yape, Plin and Agora Pay.
Payments can be made from the SAT website: www.sat.gob.pe.
