How will the SAT operate during the December holidays?
During the December holiday period, the Tax Administration Service will maintain attention to taxpayers in a normal manner in their offices throughout the country. This means that in-person procedures will continue without changes for those who already have a scheduled appointment.
The agency clarified that only will suspend attention to the public on official rest days established by current regulations: December 25, 2025 and January 1, 2026. Outside of these dates, the SAT offices will operate regularly, so taxpayers will be able to carry out their procedures without any setbacks.
Given this, the tax authority recommends reviewing and confirming the scheduled appointments, as well as making provisions if any procedure is required to be carried out close to holidays.
The SAT services that you can do online throughout the year
The SAT has a wide range of digital services that allow taxpayers to carry out procedures without having to go in person to an office, which is especially useful during the holiday period.
Among the main online services are the generation or renewal of the Password, the renewal of the e.signature and the updating of tax data. These tools allow you to keep information up to date with the tax authority quickly and securely.
Additionally, through the Virtual Office, taxpayers can carry out procedures such as registering with the RFC for individuals, including Mexicans residing abroad without tax obligations, employees or people without registered economic activities.
It is also possible to change your address, correct or modify your name, incorporate or correct the CURP, obtain tax records and receive virtual assistance for password recovery.
With these digital services, the SAT seeks to facilitate compliance with tax obligations and reduce the need for transfers, even in high demand seasons or days close to holidays.
