The government of Luis Lacalle Pou expressed his “condemnation” of the “Russian invasion” of Ukraine and denounced what he considers a “violation” of the principles of international law.
Sartori has family and business ties to Russia. The senator is married to Ekaterina Rybolovleva, daughter of Dmitry Rybolovlev, considered one of the “Russian oligarchs” and owner of the Monaco de France club.
