Lawyer Sarai Blaisdell, who represents Yeísmo Possu, allegedly implicated in the murder of the former deputy director of the Public Registry, Agustín Lara Díaz, has indicated since last weekend that she hopes to collect the reward of $ 10,000 that the National Police offered for her client, who she claims is “innocent”.
The lawyer explained on Tuesday afternoon, on the Panama Hoy evening newscast, that “I cannot deliver a lamb and take it to the slaughterhouse,” since when she presented her client, she made it clear that such a reward would be requested on behalf of both (lawyer and client), in order to distribute the money to poor children in this country, mainly children with leukemia and cancer and those who were “outraged by the Senniaf where the state has not even made reparations to those victims minors ”.
In his opinion, this money is part of the state’s money and can, at least, mitigate the pain of people in need. “In this case the children, not Sarai Blaisdell, I thank God I do not need that money because really my intention will never be material good, but rather spiritual and professional,” he said.
In networks, countless hypotheses have been shared that indicate that the amount of this reward is the payment of the lawyer’s work towards her client, however, she emphasizes: “A case of this magnitude and a woman of certain prestige in The law, 28 years in this career, is not going to charge $ 10,000 for a case that has very difficult edges and obviously for $ 10,000 he would not take it, this is obvious due to the magnitude of the case ”.
He added that, by virtue of the moral aspect, and in common agreement with his client, when he surrendered, “we allocate that reward of 10 thousand dollars to the children of this country in the name of justice and the innocence of my client, because he is a innocent man ”, emphasizing that he did not turn it in last weekend to collect such a reward.
He specified that “Sarai Blaisdell does not have the slightest interest in putting $ 10,000 in her portfolio, I absolutely do not need that,” the lawyer concluded.
