The 2025 edition of the School Paralympics has come to an end, and the state of São Paulo secured the title of the largest sporting event in the world for young people with disabilities of school age, with the participation of 316 athletes from all over Brazil.
This is the 13th opportunity in which the state has won the competition organized by the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB). In fact, São Paulo is the biggest winner of the event, with the titles in 2006, 2009, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
To win the 2025 edition of the School Paralympics, São Paulo scored a total of 725 points. Minas Gerais is in second place, with 336 points, while Santa Catarina is in third place with 330 points.
“Holding another edition of the School Paralympics is a source of enormous pride for the Brazilian Paralympic Committee. This was the first edition under my management, which makes this moment even more special. We are facing something much bigger than a sporting event: we are strengthening opportunities, expanding horizons and building futures. The School Paralympics represent the basis of our movement. It is here that many young people discover their potential, find support, create bonds and begin to follow a path that can take them to the top income”, declared the president of CPB, José Antônio Freire.

The 2025 edition of the School Paralympics was divided into two stages. In the first, from November 17th to 21st, athletes competed in athletics, wheelchair tennis, weightlifting, blind football, 3×3 wheelchair basketball, goalball, taekwondo and wheelchair rugby. Between November 26th and 28th, it was the athletes’ turn to take action in swimming, sitting volleyball, PC football [paralisados cerebrais]in judo, badminton, table tennis and bocce.
