The second draw in the State led São Paulo to eight points, in second place in Group B, three less than the leader São Bernardo (who has one more game). Inter went to seven points and occupies the fourth and last place in Group A, but with the same score as the third (Guarani) and second (Água Santa), falling behind for having one less victory. The top two from each bracket advance to the quarterfinals.

The aim was lacking on the tricolor side in the first half. There were 14 shots, eight of them inside the area, but only one of them in the goal, a header by forward Nikão, in the 23rd minute, which goalkeeper Rafael Pin saved without problems. Inter, who ventured little into the attack, hit more shots (two) towards the hosts’ goal, but without giving Jandrei any trouble.

In the final stage, São Paulo lost several other opportunities. At nine minutes, midfielder Matheus Galdezani saved, with his chest, a shot by forward Jonathan Calleri, in the small area, who was left with a corner kick. In the 26th minute, it was the turn of the post to save Inter, after a cross by left-back Reinaldo, who went straight to the goal. Eight minutes later Reinaldo took a corner from the left and forward Eder deflected the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Eder risked entering the area on the left, but stopped in a great defense by Rafael Pin, who guaranteed the tie at Morumbi.

The next match for São Paulo is the classic against Santos, at 18:30 (Brasília time) on Sunday (20), at Vila Belmiro, in Santos (SP). On the same day, at 8:30 pm, Inter welcomes Ferroviária at the Major Levy Sobrinho stadium, in Limeira (SP).
