The Civil Defense of the state of São Paulo renewed until this Tuesday (10) the alert of high risk of fires throughout the state territory. According to the Emergency Management Center (CGE), temperatures will continue to rise in the coming days, with a drop in relative humidity, reaching critical levels, below 35%.
In the metropolitan region of São Paulo, temperatures could reach 33 degrees Celsius (ºC) tomorrow (10). Relative humidity should remain below 35%.
“Given this scenario, health care is recommended, including constant hydration, drinking plenty of water and protecting yourself from the sun. Outdoor physical activity should be avoided during peak times of the day and the use of eye and nose saline is recommended,” Civil Defense highlighted in a statement.
Air quality
In the bulletin released by the Environmental Company of the State of São Paulo (Cetesb) at 5 pm, of the 22 monitoring stations installed in the capital of São Paulo, ten indicated “very bad” air quality, ten showed “bad” and only two recorded “moderate” quality.
The place with the worst air quality in São Paulo was the Ponte dos Remédios region, on the Marginal do Tietê, with a high level of Fine Inhalable Particles (PM2.5) which, because of their tiny size, penetrate deeply into the respiratory system.
This type of particle is linked to higher risks of heart and lung diseases.
