History

Martin Luther King was a Baptist pastor and political activist who became known for his fight against racism in the United States. He began his fight against racial segregation on buses in a city in Alabama in the 1950s. He was persecuted by the United States government at the time, as well as by white supremacists. Defender of civil disobedience and supporter of non-violence as a fighting strategy, he ended up murdered on the balcony of a hotel in Memphis, in 1968, at the age of 39.
