São Paulo and Corinthians reach the final of the Brazilian Women's Championship

The final teams for the Série A1 of the Brazilian Women’s Football Championship have been defined. The competition’s grand final will be contested by São Paulo, who beat Ferroviária, and Corinthians, who beat Palmeiras in the other semifinal.São Paulo and Corinthians reach the final of the Brazilian Women's Championship

In a match played this Sunday (8) at Arena da Fonte Luminosa, in Araraquara, the Soberanas defeated the Guerreiras Grenás 3-0 in a penalty shootout to advance to the final of the Brazilian Women’s Championship. In the 90 minutes of regular time, Ferroviária triumphed 1-0, which meant that the spot had to be defined on penalties after São Paulo’s 2-1 victory in the first leg.

In the other semi-final, also played this Sunday, but at the Canindé stadium, Palmeiras won 2-1, but Corinthians advanced, as they triumphed 3-1 in the first leg of the semi-finals.

São Paulo and Corinthians will begin playing the final of the Brazilian Women’s Championship next Sunday (15), starting at 10:30 am (Brasília time). The second game of the final will be on September 22, also a Sunday.
