The National Institute of Professional Technical Training (Infotep) is prepared to train personnel that demands not only the sector of free zonesbut other sectors of the country.
The affirmation was made yesterday by the general director of Infotep, Raphael Santoswhen interviewed about the declarations of the Dominican Association of Free Zones (Adozona), in the sense that this sector needs more training in human capital.
He specified that Infotep is ready to train superior technicians to put them at the service not only of the free zones, but also of the tourist industry and the repair of electric vehicles.
He stated that in the Infotep centers, in coordination with Adozona, technical workers will be trained to enter the free trade zone What software developers and programmers.
He stressed that Infotep maintains a program with the free zones through which returns 35% in training of the contribution of the sector for the maintenance of the autonomous state organism.
He remembered that the world is in the Fourth Industrial Revolution that requires people prepared for robot programming and artificial intelligence management, and Infotep is aligning itself to this new reality.
Infotep sent 284 technicians to the Ministry of Labor who apply for PR jobs
The National Institute of Professional Technical Training (Infotep) has so far referred 284 technicians to the Ministry of Laborto opt for one of the jobs required in Puerto Ricoin order to rebuild the island after the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria.
Last February the InFotep began a validation process for technical workers in the construction and tourism sectors in the interest that they be taken into account to be sent to Puerto Rico, in order to supply the labor deficit that country has.
The process has begun in the construction sector, where technicians, graduates and/or validated by Infotep who have already been referred to the Ministry of Labor correspond to training in electricity, carpentry, masonry, welding, plumbing and refrigeration.
