Santos, Heron and Jiménez performed at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

So far, three Panamanian athletes have performed at the Paris Olympic Games in the disciplines of Swimming, Artistic Gymnastics and Judo, leaving the name of Panama on high.

Emily Santos was the first to see action in Swimming where she placed sixth in Heat 2 of the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:09.94 failing to qualify for the semifinals. It should be noted that in the tests recently held in June at the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championship (CCCAN), Santos had achieved a record of 1:08.68 being her best time in competitions, however, she was not able to improve it for these Olympic Games.

Hillary Heron saw action in Artistic Gymnastics with an excellent performance in her debut at the Olympic Games in the All Around (general individual table) she finished in 44th position out of 60 participants with a score of 50.765 while in the apparatus events she breaks down as follows:
Vaulting: 13,650 points (14th place out of 70 participants)
Uneven bars: 11,766 (71st place out of 80 participants)
Balance Beam: 12.166 (59th place out of 78 participants)
Floor: 13,033 (29th out of 75 participants)

While this Monday, July 29, it was the turn of judoka Kristine Jiménez who competed in the -58kg category where her first fight achieved a historic victory over Muna Dahouk via Ippon advancing to the round of 16 where she faced world champion Christa Deguchi of Canada, the Panamanian fell by Ippon in this fight ending her participation.
