Santos defeated Juventude 2-1 on Tuesday night (14) at Alfredo Jaconi stadium, in the match that opened the 12th round of the Brazilian Championship.

With this result, Peixe jumped up the leaderboard, reaching the 6th position with 17 points. The team from Rio Grande do Sul remains in the runner-up of the competition with 10 points.
Playing at home, Juventude managed to open the scoring early, after 25 minutes, thanks to a headed goal by Ricardo Bueno. However, just before the break, the move that changed the whole scenario of the match took place, Yuri Lima was sent off by the referee, with the help of VAR (video referee), after a hard foul on the Ecuadorian Jhojan Julio.
Having one more man, Peixe managed to turn around in the final stage thanks to goals from Eduardo Bauermann and Marcos Leonardo.
