Santos defeated América-MG 3-0 on Friday night (21) at the Anacleto Campanella stadium, in São Caetano do Sul, and reached the final of the São Paulo Junior Football Cup. Now, Peixe follows the match between Palmeiras and São Paulo, scheduled for next Saturday (22), to find out who will be their opponent in the decision of the competition.

The game
The initial stage was very balanced, with the defense of the teams overlapping the attacks. The first clear opportunity came from América-MG, in the 12th minute, when Adyson hit the defense of Diógenes. However, Santos was more efficient and managed to open the scoring three minutes later. After kicking Ed Carlos, the goalkeeper partially deflected, the ball hit the crossbar and left for Lucas Barbosa, who did not forgive.
Peixe continued to lead the match and, just 9 minutes into the final stage, expanded. After Rwan Seco’s cross, the goalkeeper missed again and the ball was left for Lucas Barbosa, who checked.
In the 26th minute, Santos gave the final numbers to the game, when Weslley Patati dominated, advanced freely and kicked hard to overcome goalkeeper Cássio.

End of Cup
The decision of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior is scheduled for next Tuesday (25), the anniversary of the city of São Paulo. In this opportunity, Santos will seek its fourth title in the competition, after the achievements of 1984, 2013 and 2014.
