Santos, which in 2025 will return to the first division of Brazilian football, announced this Monday the Portuguese as its new coach Pedro Caixinha, who coached Bragantino last season.
“The coach is already active in the execution and planning of football for 2025 and in defining the cast,” Santos announced on their social networks, a team that launched figures such as Pelé and Neymar, among many others.
Caixinha, 54, has coached several Portuguese teams since 1999 and in 2013 he moved to Mexican soccer, where he was in charge of Santos Laguna until 2015. Later he also coached Cruz Azul, after passing through soccer in Qatar and Scotland.

He arrived in Brazil in December 2022 to coach Bragantino, who dismissed him last October at a time when the team was at risk of falling to the second division, a category in which Santos was proclaimed champion this year, thus guaranteeing its return to the honor division of the Brazilian league.
Fabrio Carille He was dismissed in November immediately after achieving mathematical promotion and was Leandro Zago who finished the season as interim.
